Learning can be a truly rewarding experience. But it cannot be limited to an exercise in patience to simply assimilate outside ideas. The learning process can happen with the exploration of the infinite potencial of imagination, challenging the limits of our own creativity.
The way I teach music, voice or guitar is in a way that intends to develop and encourage the creative potencial of every being, whether it is an adult or a child – first and foremost, there has to be motivation in order to develop the necessary skills to reach our goals.
We don’t need to be special to be creative, but by allowing ourselves to be creative we open the path of self-discovery. With creativity we start to value our ideas, we apply our imagination and we innovate by putting those ideas into practice, liberating our personal expression. We create the space to feel and assimilate in practice, with the permission to fail, thus staying receptive to the learning itself.
